A Level and BTEC Results 2024
Birkenhead High School Academy is delighted to announce that its A Level / BTEC students have achieved excellent results this year, reflecting their hard work, resilience, and dedication over the past two years. Despite facing unprecedented challenges, the students have risen to the occasion, demonstrating both academic excellence and personal growth. We are delighted that the vast majority of students have managed to get into their first university of choice.
Principal Rebecca Mahony expressed her pride in the cohort, stating, "These results are not just a testament to our students' academic abilities, but also to their perseverance, adaptability, and strength of character. They have navigated their journey with determination, and today we celebrate their well-deserved success. We couldn't be prouder of what they have achieved and look forward to their future accomplishments."
Among the many success stories, the following students have particularly excelled: Megan Fenwick achieved top grades in biology, physics, and chemistry as well as in her Extended Project Qualification. Megan Lomas achieved an incredible A*A*A in psychology, geography and English literature and Georgia Davies secured outstanding results in science, law and politics. Her exceptional analytical skills have earned her a place at Chester University to study law. Katy Hamer achieved an impressive A* AA set of grades and is pursuing a degree apprenticeship with Schneider Electric which demonstrates that there are various pathways to a future successful career. Our Head Girl Niamh Lewis too, achieved A* A B and will now embark on a course in history at the University of Liverpool.
The achievements of these students, alongside their peers, marks a significant milestone for Birkenhead High School Academy. As our students prepare to embark on the next chapter of their lives, whether that is a university course, an apprenticeship or employment, we wish them continued success in all their future endeavours.
